Fethiye Sailing Routes

Fethiye Sailing Routes

Fethiye, home to the world-renowned beach of Ölüdeniz, is one of Turkey’s major tourism centers. It offers excellent diving spots such as Af Kule and hosts many caves open to tourism.

Its natural landscape also supports alternative sports like paragliding. There are pristine areas such as Butterfly Valley and Kabak Bay. The islands known as the "12 Islands" can be visited with daily boat tours. In 2006, Ölüdeniz Beach was voted the most beautiful beach in the world with 82% of the votes.
There are also rock-carved Lycian king tombs.

Apart from Ölüdeniz, here are some of the other stunning beaches around Fethiye:

Telmessos, Kaunos, Kadyanda, Tlos, Pınara, Letoon, Sidyma, and Xanthos. In addition to these, the Fethiye Museum, rich in artifacts, also serves tourism.

Knight Island: Historically known as Meğri Island or Fethiye Island, Knight Island is a narrow, wishbone-shaped island that encloses the Gulf of Fethiye and helps make the harbor a sheltered place. It is the only inhabited island among the chain of islands surrounding the area.

To the west of Knight Island lies Kızılada, to the east is Çalış Beach, to the south is Fethiye, and to the north is the open sea. Due to its central location in the harbor, it receives sunlight throughout the day.
